This End User License Agreement (“Agreement” or “EULA”) is a legal agreement between you (“User,” “Player,” or “You”) and RiskCraft Studios (“Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) governing your use of the Hooked game, including the HUD, accessories, decor, unlocks, tournaments, websites, servers, and related services (collectively, the “Game”). By using Hooked, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use Hooked.
1. License & HUD
1.1 Grant of License. RiskCraft Studios LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Hooked HUD and related services solely for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
1.2 HUD Restrictions. The Hooked HUD is distributed free of charge by RiskCraft Studios LLC. It is a no-permissions item that may not be copied, modified, altered, reverse-engineered, or redistributed.
1.3 HUD Versions. Players must use the most recent version of the HUD. Older versions may be disabled or blocked at any time. Continued use of outdated HUDs may result in loss of access.
2. Display of Usernames & Leaderboards
2.1 Public Display. By playing Hooked, you consent to the display of your Second Life username on Hooked’s websites, leaderboards, and other public game materials.
2.2 Mandatory Display. There is no opt-out. If you do not wish for your username to appear publicly, you must not play Hooked.
3. Bait Purchases
3.1 Consumable Product. Bait is a consumable virtual product. All bait sales are final.
3.2 No Refunds. RiskCraft Studios LLC will not provide refunds for missed catches, lag, simulator crashes, user error, or any other reason.
3.3 Player Confirmation. Each bait purchase requires explicit confirmation by the player through an in-game menu.
3.4 Catch Outcomes. Outcomes of casts and reels are not guaranteed and depend on player actions.
4. Fish Points & Junk Points
4.1 Game Currency. Fish Points and Junk Points are in-game currencies with no cash value. They cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or converted into Linden Dollars or real-world money.
4.2 Spending. Fish Points and Junk Points may be spent in Hooked vendors, gachas, unlocks, and other in-game features.
4.3 No Refunds. All point-based purchases are final. Players who are dissatisfied with a gacha or vendor reward are not entitled to a refund or exchange.
4.4 Balancing. RiskCraft Studios LLC reserves the right to adjust currency values, rewards, or balancing at its discretion.
5. Accessories, Unlocks, & Decor
5.1 Offerings. RiskCraft Studios LLC may offer accessories, location unlocks, theme unlocks, and general decor, including items sold individually or through gachas.
5.2 Transferable Items. Many of these items are transferable within Second Life. Players may buy, sell, or trade them at their own risk.
5.3 Secondary Market Disclaimer. RiskCraft Studios LLC is not responsible for user-to-user transactions, including those involving Linden Dollars. We do not guarantee authenticity, value, condition, or delivery of items exchanged in secondary market sales.
5.4 Authenticity. Authentic Hooked items are only those created by HookedFishing Resident, Cort Brandriss, or Krysta Ember. Any counterfeit or tampered items are invalid and may be removed.
6. Tournaments
6.1 Tools. RiskCraft Studios LLC provides tournament buoy tools to enable user-hosted competitions.
6.2 Guaranteed Prizes. The only prizes guaranteed by RiskCraft Studios LLC are Fish Point prizes, which are automatically distributed through the Hooked system.
6.3 User-Provided Prizes. Any other prizes are the sole responsibility of the hosting player. RiskCraft Studios LLC has no liability for user-provided prizes, whether offensive, invalid, or non-compliant with Linden Lab’s Terms of Service.
6.4 Compliance. All tournament prizes and conduct must comply with Linden Lab’s Terms of Service and applicable law.
6.5 Alt Usage in Tournaments. RiskCraft Studios LLC cannot prevent players from entering tournaments with multiple avatars. Since all tournament entries require bait purchases, each entry constitutes paid play. While this may increase odds for a single individual, it is functionally equivalent to multiple participants. RiskCraft Studios LLC does not monitor or restrict this practice.
6.6 Tournament Broadcast & Host Responsibility Tournament descriptions are user-generated content and do not represent the views, endorsements, or official communications of RiskCraft Studios LLC.
The tournament system is provided solely for Hooked-related competitive gameplay. Any use outside this intended purpose constitutes abuse of the system.
By hosting a tournament, you agree that all descriptions, event conduct, and prize offerings must:
• Relate directly to Hooked gameplay or the specific fishing event being hosted
• Comply with Linden Lab’s Terms of Service
• Avoid vulgar, obscene, discriminatory, hateful, or sexually explicit language
• Avoid harassment, threats, or defamation of Hooked, its staff, or any player
• Avoid political messaging, religious messaging, or unrelated commercial promotion
• Not be used for advertising, traffic manipulation, or mass promotional broadcasting
• Not impersonate Hooked staff or imply official endorsement
RiskCraft Studios LLC reserves the right to cancel, remove, or invalidate any tournament at its sole discretion, with or without notice.
Repeated or severe abuse may result in suspension of tournament privileges or removal from the Hooked system entirely.
Hooked does not monitor tournaments continuously. Hosts are fully responsible for all content associated with their events.
7. Community Conduct
7.1 Prohibited Conduct. Players may not use Hooked systems, tournaments, or items to distribute offensive, infringing, illegal, or Terms-of-Service-violating content.
7.2 Harassment & Defamation. Harassment, defamation, and rumor-spreading against Hooked LLC, its team, or other players is strictly prohibited.
7.3 Scope. These rules apply within the Hooked HUD, in-world groups, and official Hooked community spaces such as Discord.
8. Alt Accounts
8.1 Permitted Use. Players may use multiple avatars with Hooked.
8.2 Equal Rules. Each avatar must follow the same rules: bait must be purchased, catches are deliberate, and outcomes are not guaranteed.
8.3 Abuse. Abuse that extends beyond alt use (fraud, tampering, harassment, or other prohibited conduct) may result in enforcement actions.
9. Privacy & Data Collection
9.1 Data Collection. RiskCraft Studios LLC logs gameplay activity, including usernames, IP addresses, bait purchases, catches, and point transactions.
9.2 Purpose. This data is used for gameplay features, fraud prevention, and tournament integrity.
9.3 Consent. By playing Hooked, you consent to this data collection.
9.4 Privacy Policy. Additional details may be provided in a separate Privacy Policy.
10. Enforcement & Suspension
10.1 Enforcement Powers. RiskCraft Studios LLC may suspend access, disable HUDs, reset accounts, invalidate points or prizes, or remove items if you violate this Agreement.
10.2 Discretion. All enforcement decisions are at RiskCraft Studios LLC’s discretion.
11. Disclaimers & Liability
11.1 No Warranty. Hooked is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
11.2 Service Availability. RiskCraft Studios LLC does not guarantee uptime, uninterrupted access, or error-free operation.
11.3 Lag & Disruptions. We are not responsible for lag, simulator crashes, Linden Lab downtime, or other disruptions beyond our control.
11.4 Trades & Sales. RiskCraft Studios LLC is not responsible for any user-to-user trades or sales, including transactions involving Linden Dollars or other currencies.
11.5 Tournaments. RiskCraft Studios LLC is not responsible for user-hosted tournaments or prizes, except Fish Points as described in Section 6.
12. Miscellaneous
12.1 Reservation of Rights. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by RiskCraft Studios LLC.
12.2 Eligibility. Players must comply with Linden Lab’s Terms of Service, including age requirements.
12.3 Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RiskCraft Studios LLC, its owners, and affiliates against claims arising from your misuse of Hooked.
12.4 Amendments. RiskCraft Studios LLC may update this Agreement at any time. Notice may be provided via website, Discord, HUD notice, or in-world announcement. Continued use of Hooked constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12.5 Governing Law. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12.6 Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is found invalid, the remainder shall remain in effect.
12.7 Entire Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and RiskCraft Studios LLC regarding the Game.
